FAQS

Thermal acoustic blanket (TAB) insultation systems made with APTIV film can reduce weight.

Yes. PEEK films like APTIV films are designed for demanding environments where multiple high-performance requirements - such as extreme temperature, chemical resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and recyclability - must be met. However, they may not be suitable for:
Excellent high temperature performance:
*Properties vary by polymer grade. See detailed thermal properties and compare the APTIV PEEK film grades.
Excellent strength, stiffness, long-term creep and fatigue properties.

High abrasion and cut through resistance combined with a low coefficient of friction.
Victrex materials are used for tribological components due to their outstanding resistance to wear in high pressure and velocity environments.
Excellent resistance to a very wide range of chemicals over a range of temperatures, retaining high levels of mechanical strength and generally with little swelling or discolouration.
Victrex high performance polymers are not attacked by prolonged exposure to water, sea water or steam which makes them an ideal choice for use in applications such as medical components, subsea equipment, and valve components.
Victrex materials are often used as an electrical insulator with outstanding thermal, environmental resistance and mechanical performance.

Victrex materials are some of the highest performing materials melt processable using conventional thermoplastic processing equipment.
Due to its high molecular stability, PEEK polymers can be re-melted and reprocessed repeatedly with minimal change to its properties. This helps its environmental footprint and can ensure that waste material from manufacturing processes can be re-used economically.
