Dr. John Grasmeder, Chief Scientist at high-performance PEEK polymer specialist Victrex plc, has been appointed an Honorary Professor by the University of Exeter.
This appointment is in recognition of the longstanding collaboration with the Centre for Additive Layer Manufacturing (CALM) and contributions to polymer chemistry, materials science and process development. This is an example of one of Victrex’s strong relationships with academia which are important as we collaborate to discover, enable and accelerate new science to drive commercial innovation and support our Sustainability agenda, including our 2030 carbon net zero goal.
John has over 25 years’ experience in the polymer industry, where in addition to a distinguished career in R&D he has held commercial and business leadership positions at leading global chemical companies.
Prof. Grasmeder’s honorary position is in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter.
