APTIV® films provide many benefits for OEMs, designers and processors. Key benefits include low specific gravity in thin film options, application miniaturization, longevity, durability, reliability and toughness. APTIV films’ streamlined processing helps reduce overall systems cost using an eco-friendly, recyclable material.
Based on VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer, APTIV film is a high performance option with a unique combination of properties including high temperature performance, mechanical strength, chemical resistance, electrical insulation, excellent wear and abrasion resistance, purity, radiation resistance, low moisture absorption, and is FDA compliant.
High Temperature Performance
Withstands lead free soldering process temperatures. Has an RTI rating of 220°C (428°F) for mechanical use without impact and 200°C (392°F) for electrical use when using 25 – 125 micron films.
Excellent Wear Resistance
Inherently lubricious with a very smooth surface finish and low particulation.
Low Smoke and Toxic Gas Emission
Flame resistant PEEK-based film maintains good flammability without the use of flame retardants, and has low toxicity of combustion gases. Inherently halogen free in accordance with IEC 61249-2-21.
Environmentally Friendly
A light weight, recyclable, halogen free film that is RoHS compliant and can be used to manufacture products compliant with the same directive.
