Thornton-Cleveleys (UK) – Solution-based and geared towards target industries, Victrex’s new website is now available at www.victrex.com. It enables visitors to quickly and selectively access detailed information, save documents to their personal library and share data with colleagues. Clear messages, complemented by a fresh, modern design join forces to deliver a unique digital experience. “Shaping Future Performance” is both, the overarching motto of the website and Victrex´s driving principle. For more than 35 years, high performance PAEK (Polyaryletherketone) thermoplastics like VICTREX® PEEK, coupled with the company’s know-how, have helped to increase performance in applications for key industries including Automotive, Aerospace, Energy, Electronics and Medical.
Three high performance Victrex thermoplastics have been added to a leading material and modelling database called Digimat-MX to accelerate the application development process while helping to minimize component weight and costs. The material modelling data stored on the database helps engineers predict the behaviour of composite materials especially when replacing metals.
Victrex places the highest priority on the protection of health, safety and environment and is continuously raising the bar. The prestigious RoSPA award recognises the successful efforts of all employees and our strong risk management culture.
China Array utilises VICTREX WG polymer for two components of the CVT, sliders and insert keys. Despite exposure to centrifugal and linear forces at high temperatures, the extremely robust thermoplastic offers a lightweight, durable solution – much to the delight of the driver.
Solution-oriented and value-added applications will be showcased by Victrex at this year’s Chinaplas in April. The world’s leading PAEK manufacturer with its own technology centre and sales office in Shanghai is focusing on efficiency, durability and lightweight construction in the automotive and aviation industries, but also on tailor-made applications for the electronics industry.
“Owing to the dynamic regulatory trends aimed at reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency, automotive manufacturers are moving towards smaller engines with improved power output and higher efficiency transmissions,” said Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst, Ms Soundarya Shankar. “VICTREX® PEEK polymer thermoplastics are ideal in this environment, as they have been designed to withstand wide temperature ranges and sustain prolonged operating conditions. They also perform efficiently in aggr
Victrex has successfully obtained the rigorous AS9100C/ISO9001:2008 aerospace certification for its VICTREX Pipes™ production lines. This certification gives the aerospace industry the confidence to specify the robust, lightweight tubing made from VICTREX® PEEK polymer.
During JEC Europe, Victrex will showcase how VICTREX PEEK high-performance polymers address the key interests of the oil and gas, aircraft and automotive industries, where there is an ongoing drive to implement durable, efficient or lightweight solutions for a variety of challenging applications.
